An erudite educator. An addict of data. A convener of "Math Made Easy" and "Excel With Excel." I got first degree in Mathematics Education and 2nd degree in Statistics and Data Analysis. An experienced educator with almost 2 decades in both private and public education space.
I have guided many corporations to take profitable decisions that are grounded in data and tutored thousands of beginners, intermediate and advanced learners in the use of Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. He also helped many academic institutions train and coach their teachers in integrating qualitative technology into the teaching and learning process.
I am a technology enthusiast and I have developed about 9 different educational apps to make teaching and learning seamless and interesting.
In my quest to help children learn math in a more interesting and fun way, I made a lot of research about creating a solid math foundation for children to build on for greater tasks in later years.
In my years of teaching mathematics to children across all age levels, I found out a missing link that makes children struggle or even hate math as they grow older. The missing link is that "Math foundational concepts not being taught appropriately." So children struggle in later years.
In a bid to solve this problem, I made a series of research about different pedagogies that drive math learning at the foundational age. I discovered that the concept of Number Bonds and Number Facts that simplify the basics of Numbers and their connections with math operations are not being taught appropriately. Rather, teachers concentrate on teaching "Addition and Subtraction", "Multiplication and Division." This creates a huge gap in children learning the foundational Number sense.
With the concept of Number Bonds taught well, children will not have to struggle or cram math concepts before the solve problems, even the challenging ones.
Hence, the topic "Teach Number Bonds Not Addition & Subtraction" was designed to help reset and bridge the missing link. This research based scientific approach will help children connect the dots between math operations and how numbers are formed and related.
This is the secret of the success of the Singapore Mathematics. Number bonds are an essential component when teaching the Singapore method of math for mastery. They foster number sense in students and are an important concept within the Singapore primary curriculum. Number bonds have been regarded as one of the best ways to teach basic math concepts like addition and subtraction.
In order to make all children learn this concept in a fun and interesting way, I developed an app called "My Number Bond App." It is an editable, game-based and highly intuitive and interactive desktop application that makes the learning of Number Bonds and other Math concepts come to life. Thousands of children have reached "Math Champion" level with this application.
Number Bond Math App helps children learn:
1. Number Bonds Concepts.
2. Applications of Number Sense to higher tasks.
3. Application of Number Bonds to Multiplication and Division.
4. Multiplication Drills.
5. Mental Sums and
6. Automaticity.
Join me in this webinar as we learn the teaching process and stages of Number Bonds and how we can make our children develop a craving for mathematics and set them up greater mathematics become the Math Champions in no time.
